Review: Lescolton Homelight IPL machine

So, recent bought this from Taobao at $79.56, shipping by sensitive sea (2 weeks to reach) costs another $5.20. The reviews were really good and since I am really hairy, decided to give this a go.

I'm pleasantly surprise with the additional gift.

They gave me a pobling pore sonic cleanser! Apart from this, I also got a shaver and a pair of sunglasses.

Now the box itself!

Unboxing! Looks so nice! Inside contains the gun, an extra "head", a box and a instruction manual that I cannot understand because it's in German/French/Spanish.. Not english. But I found a manual on how to use it.

Inside the box contains a charger with interchangable plugs.

(Before picture) Hairy dark coarse hair one day without shaving.
[Left leg above ankle]

1st session on 16 April 2016: The machine was easy to use. I used the second "power" for my first session. There was no pain, just a warm sensation, I think I'm going to increase to 3 in two weeks time. Excited to see the end results in the 10th session!

23 April: Turns out I was suppose to do it twice a week for the first few sessions. Woops. Btw, using 6 now, because it doesn't hurt and it should work faster on my super dark hair.

25 May: RESULTS

I am so impressed !! It really works. The reason why my leg looks brighter is because I had to take it under strong lighting to see the hair that is now fine.

[After one full day of no shaving, before and after. ]

Here is a big AFTER picture for you to see the difference. There's still hairs, but finer and hair growth is slower. Very happy.
This is after 8 sessions, twice a week.

I've also starting to do it on my face (mustache area) at level 3. Will update photos once I see results.

Ozawa kei hair dye review

Saw this at Watsons today, at a discounted price of $11.10. Did a quick search but there were no reviews on it at all online. But I really like this colour depicted on the box, so I shall be the guinea pig! The colour I got is Honey Berry 01.

First thing I noticed when I open the box is the smell. It smells really good !

Inside the box, there's 2 bottles of solution 1 (colourant liquid) and solution 2 (developer milk). There's also a the instruction sheet, mousse pump, gloves and a packet of hair treatment. I wish they included a shower cap! Instructions were very simple.

The bottle was sufficient for my hair length.

"Before" hair colour under indoor lighting.

"Before" hair colour under natural light.

Pouring bottle one into bottle two.

The bubbles. Similar to Liese.

All lathered up.

-Wait for 40mins (the instructions said no more than 30mins, but ah wells)-

I am so pleased with the results! I can even tell that there's a colour difference even when my hair is still wet.

Tadaah~

Verdict:
I like it very much and will definitely use this brand again next time.
  1. Not too damaging! My hair (as of now) is still feeling soft, although it's slightly drier, but it's sort of expected and it's already very good especially with the results.
  2. The ammonia smell is very light, isn't very strong like the Gatsby that really chokes.
  3. Nice colour! The closest I can get to a burgundy-red like this with Liese is Antique rose. But antique rose doesn't really show with my natural hair and is only obvious under strong sunlight.
  4. Foams like Liese, easy application. Steps were simple and easy as well.
  5. But at a cheaper price! [$11.10 from watsons]

Problems: Their bottle is not transparent like Liese's. I didn't know if it was "thoroughly mixed" because I couldn't see. Have to go by gut fill which I have little of, so I mixed it a little too much and it overflowed a little when I switched to the mousse pump. But not a big deal la.

BEST Blackheads and whiteheads removal cream!! White: Gel Hut Mun

I HAD TO SHARE THIS!!!

So this morning my friend told me that she sent me a pic of her black and whiteheads on a white sheet and there were soooo many! Funny thing is the night before I was using my Daiso Nose Pack and it didn't really work. So I asked her what is she using.

She told me she bought it (White: Gel Hut Mun) [ read reviews] from Qoo10 at $4 for 2 bottles! Cheap right! I asked if she could sell me one and she said okay.

Went home and tried it immediately. You're suppose to take a thin layer of the cream on your nose, then paste a piece of paper they've provided over it, wait 10-15mins for it to dry and peel it off.,

BEHOLD! It's freaking gross.

SO MUCH RIGHT !! EWWWW! But so oddly satisfying! And my nose felt so smooth afterwards!

Happy with the results, I tried it on my cheeks.

Check. It. Out.

Worked so well and I'm sooo happy with it. Oh, and it smells good too!
Gonna throw my Daiso one away liao!

New lipsticks and favourite lipstick.

Was at NEX with Dearie when we saw this. Gasp! I figured it's for the Great Singapore Sale period and I haaaad to get new lipsticks! Don't know why I'm obsessed with lipsticks now. So I dragged Dearie down and sent this picture to Andrea and Phanenta. Got good things must share ma.

Went down and saw this L.A Colours Moisture Lipsticks for $3.90 !! I had to get some! $3.90 leh !!

First colour I bought was this. PINK SAND! Actually Dearie picked this, and he did good!

L.A Colours: Pink Sand

The next colour I bought also from L.A. Colours was this Precious Plum. I wanted a colour similar to to the deep red in MN lipstick (Love that colour but hate the lipstick), so I found this.

L.A. Colours : Precious Plum

Verdict on L,A Colours moisture Lipstick is I LOVE IT. It smells kind of buttery.. or cocoa-y.. Don't really know which, and it is pretty moisturizing, my lips are really dry and sensitive, and this is great, doesn't make my lips weird or tingly. And they have so many colours from white to black, literally, not sure who would want lipstick white as sheet though, or like jet black, but they have that colour. Most importantly it's only $4 !

Next Lipstick is this Beauty UK posh pout's Big pinkin tinted lip balm for $6.90. More expensive but it's quite a huge stick.

Beauty UK ; Big pinkin

I like this too ! It's moisturising as expected since it's a lip balm, and the colour is so pinkish-purplish, feels very barbie! And there's this slight minty taste when you first apply it which is nice.

The reason why I bought the pink is because it's pretty similar to my favourite lipstick.

Touch in SOL : #4 Sweet Pink Lady

Andrea gave this to me, she said it costs $16 but it doesn't suit her, so now it's mineee
Muahaha. I absolutely love love love this. I feel confident and pretty in this.

So swatches. Top to bottom: Pink Sand, Sweet Pink Lady, Big pinkin, Precious plum.

But since Sweet Pink Lady so ex, I saw a colour very very VERY similar to this. So I would probably get that instead of this.

The colour is Australis : Flamingo

This cost $6.90 on the sale. No idea how much it usually costs.

I know because I did this to my arm. xD

Review: MN Kissproof lipstick

MN Kissproof Soft Lipstick

Bought this lipstick recently on Carousell, it was pretty cheap for lipstick so I thought I should give it a try. *cough* cheapskate  *cough*

There's up to 17 colours if I'm not wrong, there might be 2 more. The seller I brought from had all the colours. Bought it at $3 SGD each. There's a promo at 5 for $12 I think. Saw some Instashop selling at 1 for $6.90, 3 for $15, sooo overpriced.

Got two colours, one nude (05) and another deep red (11).

Nice pointy pencil-like tip for precision, can double off as a lip liner. One weird thing about this is there is no way to twist out remaining colours, I googled and found out that I was suppose to sharpen it down. What a STUPID design, I had to sharpen plastic down. Probably why it's cheap eh.

The nude (05) takes 3 swatches to reach this shade, which is kind of expected since it's a lighter colour. The single red (11) swatch on the other hand is pretty pigmented. This lipstick definitely very matte as stated BUT definitely not the hydrating part, I can feel the slight drag as I apply on my hands.

Since my lips are already very dry, there is no way I can put the lipstick without lip balm.

Testing out the colours.

05, really light colour, the difference between my lip colour and the actual lipstick is very subtle, slightly pinker, which is what I wanted, so it's all good. Even with lip balm on, it still felt slightly drying, not going to lie.

11, after finding out that only very dark red suits my skin tone, decided to buy this colour. Same thing with the dryness. Even with lip balm on, you can tell it is still very matte. Colour can be build on, more layers for a more pigmented, darker red, which is good.

And lastly, to test if it is really kissproof. Gave my hand a kiss after applying red (11) and tadaah~ Only a liiiittle bit as you can tell. This amount is really good especially when I had applied a layer of lip balm before applying this.

So conclusion,

Pros:
- Wide range of colours
- Relatively cheap for lipstick ($3)
- Precision, double off as lip liner
- Easy to wipe off if drawn out of lip area, doesn't stain skin
- Kiss-proof as stated
- Matte as stated
- Pigmented

Cons:
- VERY DRY, not hydrating at all, doesn't deliver what was stated
- Doesnt smell good, plastic-ky / rubbery smell
- Weird design
-GIVES YOU WEIRD TINGLY FEELING ON LIPS (UPDATE)

Overall, I like the colours alot and the main problem can be easily solved by putting on lip balm, but would I buy it again? Probably not. Unless I cannot find any other red colour similar to this, if not I would really prefer a more hydrating lipstick, as oppose to a matte but drying one.

Note: Have not tried wearing it out yet, will update again to see if it is long lasting.

UPDATE: OMG , I realise after wearing it long enough, it leaves a tingling, drying, uncomfortable sensation on my lips. I do have sensitive dry lips, it could be just me, I dunno.

UP/UPDATE: Decided to give it to my friends and told them they can throw it away if they don't like it, I HATE IT. NOT WORTH IT.

Daiso eyelash glue review

I'm going to cut to the chase, save your $2, do not buy. It's really bad.

The tube is really cute and all.

But the contents is not that good. It smells a bit like UHU glue. And brush is not a good applicator for thin surfaces because the brush will split when you're applying it on the lash bone.

1 min after I put on my falsies, the lash bone on the inner corner of my eye is already not sticking already. Definitely would not be able to lash a full day, especially with people with skin type on the oilier side like mine.

So yep, I guess someone shouldn't save on something that can cause you embarrassment. I shall go back to using the Star lash from Sasa. This one has worked well for me so far, sticks really well.
