First time to Pu Tien

Mummy tries to bring us out for a good meal once a week, especially now when we are near so many good food. So Pu Tien it is for today. 

Barley Wintermelon.

This was not bad. Tasted mostly like barley but later I realised there were little melon chunks inside. I liked it.

Bamboo Herbal Prawn.

This is my favourite dish. The soup was really light, the way I like all my soups. The herbal taste was just right, not too strong but strong enough for you to taste it. The prawns were really fresh as well, the meat was so chewy. I drank all of it despite being full already.

PuTien Lor Mee

Ate one mouth of this, it was good as well. The taste was not anything out of the ordinary, but the noodles were very Q.

Steamed Bamboo Clam with minced garlic

Not a clam person so didn't eat any of this, but my brother said that this is his favourite dish and my mom was complaining the clams were too small, which meant its too good and they didn't have enough.

The meat was really fragrant. The sauce was good too. Unfortunately I was too full and my bro FINISHED two of this.

They gave us gloves for this, how cute. We were suppose to wrap the fried buns ourselves by putting the meat inside. I don't remember anyone saying anything about it. Maybe too busy eating.

Teppan-yaki

Last week, mummy brought us to this Teppan-Yaki place in NEX's food court to try this. People sit along their counter and the chef would cook right infront and serve you your food. 

They served the sotong first followed by the prawn. The sotong was not bad, especially if you like black pepper. Very korean-y taste. The prawn wasn't nice though, not fresh. 

Then they spam their dou-gay. Scallop on the left and lamb on the right. My only issue with their food is their sauce, they cook all the meat with only one sauce, how boring especially when we ordered all the different kinds of meat only for them to come all the same.

 Their meal, apart from the meat, also comes with a cup of wintermelon, bowl of soup and rice. I highly recommend the beef, didn't take any picture of that because I was busy eating, but the beef was definitely my favourite out of all the kind of meat I ordered. In lamb's defence, I don't like it's taste, but the taste was very rich if you enjoy it. Actually, all was good except for the non-so-fresh prawns. Would go back for the beef again! 

My favourite BeeHoon

My brother was so sweet today, brought me my favourite Bangkit BeeHoon. This is the best beehoon in the world in my opinion, missed it so much. Used to eat it everyday in secondary school and must've gained 8kg or something. But woah, it's sooo nice. Their beehoon is garlic-y and salty in just the right amount. Bro had to wake up at 8.30am (on a holiday) and travel all the way to Serangoon for me to eat this. I am so happy <3

 Reason for living

Woke up feeling so blessed that I was able to live in such a beautiful house. This pool view while I'm drinking my berries tea, the sound of the tiny fountain, the morning sun shining in on my drying laundry  (that's cropped out of the picture :P ). It's so lovely. 

My friend randomly asked if we wanted to meet for lunch, I was initially planning to find and tabao chicken rice and now I have a lunch buddy. Decided to eat sushi express at NEX. There was no queue, awesome! Walked into the shop and the delicious smell of this rare flamed salmon sushi filled my nostrils. My favourite Sushi express dish, and it's very rare okay! They only have it at certain, supposedly crowded, timings. So 1 min of sitting and one row of my favourite flamed salmon sushi went past me and I took 3. heh heh heh!  

And of course, the salmon sashimi. Had tummyache the past week and I couldn't eat anything raw the last time I came to sushi express, but yay ! I had 3 plates of this as well. Yummz. 

After lunch, we decided to go to a place for dessert and we had to walk past this atas place filled with a maze of bungalow ( I got lost there yesterday when I went for a jog). One of them have this cute little flowers growing on their sidewalks! How cute is that! I dont like plants, but this is pretty. 

Came across this Japanese word that meant the reason for living/being, why you want wake up everyday, and I'm thinking, why not? 

And also! All hail the Secret. Woke up thinking beautiful and so became my day!
